Members present: Craig White in the Chair, Richard Hastings, Scott McDonald, Marcia
Courbat, Don Ticknor, Mel Wittwer, Marilyn Robinson, Jim Petersen, Mike Mrzlak, Jim
Lentfer, and John Mrzlak(A).
Members absent: Randall Miller
Also in Attendance: Nancy Higby, Administrative Secretary.
Moved by Petersen, seconded by J. Mrzlak, that the Agenda be approved. Ayes: Eleven.
Motion carried.
Moved by Petersen, seconded by Courbat, that the Minutes of January 24, 2018, be approved.
Ayes: Eleven. Motion carried.
Citizen's Oral Comments
None.
Treasurer's Report
Marcia Courbat provided the Treasurer's Report and reported that the brick fund balance for
February 28, 2018 is $12,427.83.
Marcia submitted receipts for the purchase postage stamps totaling $20, and the Post Office box
renewal fee of$51.00.
Moved by Ticknor, and seconded by Robinson, that the request to reimburse Marcia for the
postage stamps and Post Office box renewal fee totaling $71.00, be approved. Ayes: Eleven.

Chairperson's Report
Craig White noted that there is one table left on the main floor at the April 14'2018 fund raiser.
Committee Reports
Building, Grounds & Operations—Chairperson Richard Hastings
Dick Hastings reported he has concerns with the current janitorial service but didn't know who
was actually provides the service.
Craig White requested that Nancy Higby get the name of the company providing the service and
let him know via email.
Dick Hastings also noted that the outside of the building will soon be power washed.
Richard Hurtado offered to help.
Education/Historical—Chairperson Randall Miller
No report -Randy Miller was absent.
Finance/Fundraising-Chairperson Marcia Courbat
Marcia Courbat noted that she has not yet contacted John Deere regarding their decision on grant
funds.

Marcia explained that the main Fire Department in Waterloo will again accept brick orders
which had been previously discontinued, and that she plans to place a notice in the WCF Courier
to bring awareness to the public about brick sales.
Artifacts Preservation—Chairperson Mel Wittwer
None.
Unfinished Business
The proposed changes to the Membership, Constitution and By-Laws was reviewed with the
commission. Nancy Higby will incorporate those changes and bring to the next meeting for a
final vote.
New Business
Craig White to order 300 flags cemetery flags for Memorial Day.
With no further business before the commission, it was moved by McDonald, seconded by
Wittwer that the meeting be adjourned at 5:49 p.m.
