RESOLUTION NO. 2020-103 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF ALLEY TO MARVIN RICHARDSON IN THE AMOUNT OF $599.76, AND A PORTION OF ALLEY TO CHARLES AND BOBBI STOCKS IN THE AMOUNT OF $336.80. WHEREAS the Cityof Waterloo Iowa is the owner of real roe in the City of property rtY tY Waterloo,Iowa, as described below, and WHEREAS, an offer to purchase a portion of said real property has been made by Marvin Richardson in the amount of$599.76, and WHEREAS, an offer to purchase a portion of said real property has been made by Charles and Bobbi Stocks in the amount of$336.80, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 17, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. in the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers, City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and convey property owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa,to Marvin Richardson and Charles and Bobbi Stocks, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that the sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The following described real property, as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on February 7, 2020, is not presently needed, and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose. 2. That the offer of Marvin Richardson to purchase real property for the sum of$599.76, is hereby accepted for real property described as follows: THAT PORTION OF THE PLATTED ALLEY ADJOINING LOTS 10, 11 AND 12, SMITH'S SUBDIVISION, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA, LYING SOUTH OF THE SOUTH LINE OF SMITH STREET, AS IS CURRENTLY PLATTED, AND EXCEPT FOR THAT PORTION LYING EAST OF A LINE 45 FEET EAST OF THE WEST LINE OF LOT 12. 3. That the offer of Charles and Bobbi Stocks to purchase real property for the sum of $336.80, is hereby accepted for real property described as follows: THAT PORTION OF THE PLATTED ALLEY ADJOINING LOT 12, SMITH'S SUBDIVISION, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA, LYING EAST OF A LINE 45 FEET EAST OF THE WEST LINE OF LOT 12. 4. That the City of Waterloo, Iowa conveys said parcels of real property to Marvin Richardson and Charles and Bobbi Stocks by quit claim deed. Resolution 2020403 Page 2 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said deeds. 5. That the originals of said quit claim deeds, fully executed and acknowledged, are hereby approved and confirmed by this Council. 6. That the Community Planning and Development Director is authorized and directed to deliver said deeds of conveyance to Marvin Richardson upon receipt of the sum of$599.76 and Charles and Bobbi Stocks upon receipt of the sum of$336.80.
