RESOLUTION NO. 2020-113
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
WOODRUFF CONSTRUCTION, LLC, OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,587,300, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT BIOSOLIDS
MODIFICATIONS, CONTRACT NO. 994, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, LLC, of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the
amount of $16,587,300, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the Wastewater
Treatment Plant Bio-solids Modifications, Contract No. 994, and
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, LLC submitted a written contract, per the
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No. 2019-66,
after public hearing on January 27, 2019, in conjunction with the Wastewater Treatment Plant
Bio-solids Modifications, Contract No. 994.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Woodruff Construction, LLC, in the amount of $16,587,300, in
conjunction with the Wastewater Treatment Plant Bio-solids Modifications, Contract
No. 994, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Woodruff
Construction, LLC, in conjunction with the Wastewater Treatment Plant Bio-solids
Modifications, Contract No. 994, are hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized
and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 171h day of February 2020.
