ORDINANCE NO. 5065
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2007 CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, BY
REPEALING SECTION 10 OF CHAPTER 3, HUMAN
RIGHTS OF TITLE 5, POLICE REGULATIONS, IN
ITS ENTIRETY; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A
NEW SECTION 10 OF CHAPTER 3, HUMAN RIGHTS OF
TITLE 5, POLICE REGULATIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA:
That Section 10 of Chapter 3, Human Rights of Title 5,
Police Regulations, of the 2007 Code of Ordinances of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby repealed in its entirety; that a
new Section 10 of Chapter 3, Human Rights of Title 5, Police
Regulations, of the 2007 Code of Ordinances of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
5-3-10: COMPLAINT PROCEDURES:
B. The complaint must be filed within three hundred (300) days
after the alleged discriminatory practice occurs. A
complaint filed with the Iowa civil rights commission under
the provisions of the Iowa civil rights act shall be
sufficient for the purposes of this chapter, if it alleges
discriminatory acts within this city.
