RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ASPI{O,
INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$3,644,934.30, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS
AND CERTIFICATE, OF INSURANCE, IN CO\JUNCTION
WITH THE, FY 2020 STREET RECONSTRUCTION
PROGRAM, CONTRACT NO. 993, AND AL THOJIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECL TE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of S3,644,934.30
and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the FY 2020 Street Reconstruction Program,
Contract No. 993, and
WHEREAS, Aspro, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of insurance, per
the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No 2020-
200, after public hearing on March 23, 2020, on published notice required by law, in conjunction
with the FY 2020 Street Reconstruction Program, Contract No. 993.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 1 --3[E COUNCIL OFF THE CITY 07
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Aspro, Inc., in the amount of S3,644,934.30, in conjunction with the
FY 2020 Street Reconstruction ''rogram, Contract No. 993, is hereby awarded.
2 That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Aspro, Inc., in
conjunction with the FY 2020 Street Reconstruction Program, Contract No. 993, are
hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the Ci
