AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDI-
NANCE NO. 2479, AS AMENDED, THE
CITY OF WATERLOO ZONING ORDI-
NANCE
MEND NG HE FBLOODPLA N
REGULATIONS.
The amendment creates multiple up-
dates to the floodplain regulations, in-
cluding updating the Interpretation Per-
taining to Flood Plain Management sec-
tion, updating the definition of floodplain
terms, adopting by reference an Official
Floodplain Zoning Map dated July 18,
2011 which was prepared as part of the
Flood Insurance Study for Black Hawk
County, updating restrictions on recre-
ational vehicles within special flood haz-
ard areas, updating restrictions on uses
permitted within special flood hazard ar-
eas, including the variance and appeal
process for uses not permitted or for er-
rors in determinations, updating restric-
tions on utility and sanitary systems with-
in special flood hazard areas, -updating
restrictions for subdivisions within spe-
cial flood hazard areas, updating restric-
tions for factory built homes within spe-
cial flood hazard areas, updating resthc
tions on uses permitted as a copoltional
use within special flood hazard areas,
updating performance standards ffor
uses permitted within special floW,az-
ard areas, and updating the require-
ments fbrfloodplain developmtint

and Zoning Department.
