Associate Vice President Date October 21, 2015 AZCOM SCOPE OF SERVIGES FY 2016 VERTICAL INFRASTR(JCTURE PROJECTS IDOT PROJECT NO. 911 60AL0200 IDOT CONTRACT NO. 17488 WATERLOO REGIONAL AIRPORT WATERLOO, IOWA Project Description The project is described as the projects associated with the Iowa Department of Transportation FY 2016 Vertical lnfrastructure Projects. Projects identified in the grant include the foliowing: 1. lnstall new Pedestrian Access Door froni Terminal Buildinq to Baq Claim Tuq Area. The new door will allow airline personal easier access to unload bags from the baggage tug onto the baggage belt by providing access directly from the terminal building without having to egress the building and enter the bag claim belt area from outside of the terminal building. The new door will require access control system integration into the existing airport access control system. 2. Replace Exterior Doors in Terminal Buildinq Baq Makeup Area. The current doors are rolI-up steel doors, and the new doors will be more energy efficient and customer friendly. 3. Removal of Interior lnsulation Panels, Cleanino of Interior South Wall, Rerair and ReDaintinq of South Wall in Hanciar No. 4. Damage to wafl is due to water infiltration through the exterior of the wall system. Scope of Services The work to be performed by ATS includes the following tasks: 1. Data Collection and Review. This task consists of the collection of existing data applicable to this project and related to the proposed work site. The record drawings of completed projects and utility information will be compiled as background information for the project. The Client shall coordinate with lease hotders of Hangar No. 4 so that ATS can gain access to these in a timely manner for the purpose of survey, investigation and photographic documentation of the Hangar No. 4 existing wall conditions. 2. Final Desiqn. This task consists of the preparation of the final bid documents for this project, including specifications, drawings (if required) and cost estimates. The final plans and/or specifications will set forth the requirements of the design phase. 3. Final Proiect Specifications. This task consists of the preparation of specifications for the project. The specifications will be in compliance with current City of Waterloo and Iowa Department of Transportation requirements in effect at the time the specifications are prepared. A&COM 4. Estimate of Probable Gonstruction Cost. This task consists of the preparation of an estimate of construction costs based upon the plans and specifications. This Statement of Probable Construction Cost prepared by ATS represents ATS's best judgment as a design professional at the time the estimate is drawn. It is recognized, however, that neither ATS nor the Client has any control over the cost of labor, materials ar equipment; over the contractor's method of determining bid prices; or over competitive bidding or market conditions. Accordingly, ATS cannot and does not guarantee that bids will not vary from any Statement of Probable Construction Cost or other cost estimates prepared by ATS. 5. Qualitv Review. This task consists of the quality review of work elements on the project. During the course of this project, quality reviews will be conducted by senior technical personnel not directly involved in the project. 6. Bid Assistance. This task consists of assisting the Client in advertising for and receiving bids or quotes, analyzing the bids or quotes received and preparing a recommendation to the Client for award of contract. 7. Bid Document Interpretation. This task consists of answering bid document interpretation questions from bidders, preparing and issuing any required addenda. 8. Resident Review. This task consists of limited on-site construction review at key critical construction operations to observe construction operations to determine compliance with contract documents. Site reviews will be documented in a construction journal. Coordination with airport tenants related to this project will be the responsibility of the Client. 9. Project Administration.
