AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 27-18, DAMAGING, INTERFERING
WITH PRIVATE PROPERTY, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTION
27-18, DAMAGING, INTERFERING WITH PRIVATE PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 27-18, Damaging, Interfering with Private Property, of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby repealed
in its entirety; and that new Section 27-18, Damaging, Interfering with
Private Property, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Waterloo, is
hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
Sec. 27-18. Damaging, interfering with prJvate property.
Any person who shall wilfully, maliciously or negligently injure,
deface, remove or destroy any ornamental tree, shade tree or shrub, or
any fence, railing, gate or sidewalk upon any public or private property
and whoever shall injure, carry away or destroy any fruit on a tree or
vegetable in the ground, or plant on any public or private property, or
who shall deface or injure in any manner any house or building belonging
to another or any part or fixture thereof, or who shall carry away
without the consent of the owner thereof any lumber, materials or
other property from any lot or premises in the city, or who shall
destroy or injure such property, or whoever shall wilfully, maliciously
or negligently injure, deface or damage any automobile, motorcycle,
boat or other private property, shall be guilty of an offense.
