AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2644 KNOWN AS THE TRAFFIC
ORDINANCE BY REPEALING SECTION 221, ENTERING STOP INTERSECTION,
AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTION 221, ENTERING STOP
INTERSECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 221, Entering Stop Intersection, of the Traffic ordinances of the
City of Waterloo, is hereby repealed in its entirety; and that new Section 221,
Entering Stop Intersection, of the Traffic Ordinances of the City of Waterloo,
is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
Sec. 221. ENTERING STOP INTERSECTION.
The driver of a vehicle shall likewise stop in obedience to a stop
sign as required herein at an intersection where a stop sign is erected at
one or more entrances thereto although not a part of a through highway and
shall proceed cautiously, yielding to vehicles not so obliged to stop which
are within the intersection or approaching so closely as to constitute a hazard,
but may then proceed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this ACTA day of !L�'t�z , 1978,
