AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY ELECTRICAL CODE, ORDINANCE NO. 2071, BY
REPEALING SECTION 407, SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES AND ENACTING IN LIEU
THEREOF NEW SECTION 407, WHICH NEW SECTION BECOMES EFFECTIVE JULY 19
1978.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 407 of Ordinance No. 2071, City Electrical Code, is hereby repealed
in it's entirety; that new Section 407 is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to
Ordinance 2071, City Electrical Code, as follows:
Section 407 Schedule of Permit Fees.
Rough Wiring - Outlets
1 to 14 incl. $5.00
15 to 30 incl. 7.50
All over 30 .10 each
Fixtures - All Types
1 to 14 incl. $5.00
15 to 30 incl. 7.50
All over 30 .10 each
Electrical Service or Sub Service
100 Amp Capacity $5.00
200 Amp Capacity 7.00
All over 200 Amp Capacity .50 per 100 Amp Capacity
Motors Per Unit
0 to 2 H.P. incl. $4.00
2 to 10 H.P. incl. 6.00
10 to 25 H.P. incl. 8.00
All H.P. in excess of 25 .10 per H.P.
Illuminated Signs and Outline Lighting
Per Sign $5.00
Per Lighting Standard 4.00
Per Circuit Festoon
Lighting 4.00
Generators, Converters, X-Ray Equipment and Specialized Units
(Includes Ranges, Dryers, Dishwashers, Water Heaters, Air Conditioners)
Per Unit $5.00
Electric Heating - Per Unit
0 to 25 K.W. incl. $5.00
26 to 35 K.W. incl. 7.00
36 to 50 K.W. incl. 10.00
All K.W. in excess of 50 .25 per K.W.
Re-inspection fee due to incomplete work, corrections, wrong address,

All permits in all buildings of more than one (1) occupancy shall be
applied for by separate applications.
