Full Time Combination Inspector II position and make an appointment.

Background Information: This position of Combination Inspector II will assist the Building
Inspection department with the work load for the Foundation Drain program. With the footing
drain inspection program that was adopted by Council for service areas 15 & 16, over the next two
years will average out to about 12 inspections per day. This is an average workload for a full-time
employee. This position requires a City staff employee and not a contract position.

SUBJECT: Financial Analyst Position

Recommended City Council Action: I request authorization to begin the civil
service recruitment process and make an appointment to replace a financial
analyst position in the Finance Department.
Summary Statement: The financial analyst with primarily responsibility for
our banking activities has provided notice that she plans to retire in March. This
is a critical position for the City and is essential for daily operations in the Finance
Department.
