Justification of need for position:
Position is budgeted and required to support street department operations in chip sealing, crack sealing, street
sweeping and snow removal. This position is a replacement for a departed employee effective close of business on
11-25-2014. Request authorization to make an appointment from current Civil Service List.
What are the likely consequences if the position is not filled?
A reduced number of employees will have a negative impact on the department's capabilities of completing all
necessary street repairs and snow removal operations.
