Head Signature: PH # of Attachments: 1 SUBJECT: Submitted by: Request to Initiate Civil Service Process and Hire -Forestry Specialist Paul Huting, Leisure Services Director Recommended City Council Action: Approval to begin the Civil Service Process and make an appointment for a new Forestry Specialist position needed to keep up with additional work load due to the infestation of the Emerald Ash Borer in Waterloo. Summary Statement: I am requesting permission to begin the process and to fill Forestry Specialist position. This action was approved by the Personnel Requisition Committee on March 24, 2014. Expenditure Required: Salary of $ 41,891 annually plus benefits. Source of Funds: There is funding for this position in the current FYE 2014 operating budget due to an unfilled position.
