for the Waterloo Center for the Arts

Recommended City Council Action: Approve request
Summary Statement: One of the Waterloo Center for the Arts' key staff positions, Education
Coordinator, is currently vacant due to Bonnie Winninger's recent retirement. It is strongly
recommended that the position be filled as soon as possible.
Expenditure Required: Annual salary requirement is $43,680.00. These funds are already
included in the Cultural & Arts budget appropriation for FY2014.

SUBJECT: FIRE RECRUIT

Recommended City Council Action: Approve
Summary Statement:
WFR is requesting approval to hire four (4) Fire Recruits to fill vacancies. We currently have
four open positions that need to be filled. We anticipate having a certified Civil Service list on
Friday, July 26, 2013. If approved we anticipate hiring no sooner than August 26, 2013.
