SUBJECT: Solid Waste Operator
Submitted by: Lan-y N. Smith, 'VMS Superintendent
Recommended City Council Action: Requesting authorization to initiate the Civil Service
process to fill a position of Solid Waste Operator at the Waste Management Services Department.
Upon approval of a certified list by the Civil Service Commission, I also propose to request
approval of an appointment from that list directly to Council.

Source of Funds: This position is funded for in our FY13 and FY14 budgets.
