the Civil Service list.
3. Request from Chief of Fire Services for authorization to begin the Civil Service process for
Medical Officer and make an appointment from the Civil Service list.
4. Request from Traffic Operations Superintendent for authorization to begin the recruitment
process for an on -call Animal Control Services Officer and make an appointment.

Facilities/Project Manager

Recommended City Council Action: Approval to begin the Civil Service Process for the position
of Facilities/Project Manager (Leisure Services) and to fill the position from resulting Civil Service
List.
Summary Statement: I am requesting permission to move forward with the process to fill the
currently funded position of Facilities/Project Manager for Leisure Services. This funded position
is vacant due to a transfer to another department.
After a Civil Service List has been certified for this position I will take my appointment directly to
City Council for approval.
Expenditure Required: $59,384.
Source of Funds: Leisure Services (Park) Operating budget

Recommended City Council Action: Requesting authorization to initiate the Civil Service
process to fill (2) existing positions of Maintenance Mechanic due to up -coming retirements.
Upon approval of a certified list by the Civil Service Commission, I also propose to request
approval of (2) appointments from this list directly to Council.
