SUBJECT: CMOM Technician
Submitted by: Larry N Smith, Superintendent WMS
Recommended City Council Action: Requesting authorization to initiate the Civil Service
process to fill a position of a CMOM Technician at the Waste Management Services Dept.
Upon approval of a certified list by the Civil Service Commission, I also propose to request
approval of an appointment from that list directly to Council.

Expenditure Required
Source of Funds Using vacant sewer maintenance workers wages and also need to insure
approximately $8,000.00 per year in future budgets.

Alternative
Background Information: This position replaces a vacant Sewer Maintenance position,
which will work with all departments involved in the CMOM program to insure all
documentation is collected and stored for future reference. They will also be required to
help inspect the sanitary and storm sewers and associated structures.
