HomeMy WebLinkAbout5047-05/09/2011ORDINANCE NO. 5047 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 335, PARKING FINES, OF THE 2008 TRAFFIC CODE; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION 335, PARKING FINES. That Section 335, Parking Fines, of the 2008 Traffic Code is hereby repealed in its entirety; that a new Section 335, Parking Fines, of the 2008 Traffic Code is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows: SEC. 335. PARKING FINES. (a) It shall be a violation of this article for any person to permit a vehicle to park in any parking space and adjacent to a parking meter without first inserting coins into the meter as designated on the meter. Legal parking is only permitted upon such a deposit. This type of violation shall be designated as a meter violation. A fine for each violation of this subsection shall be: $10.00 if paid within 30 days $15.00 if paid after 30 days. (b) It shall be a violation of this article for any person to permit a vehicle to park in any parking space adjacent to a parking meter beyond the period of legal parking time established for any parking meter zone. This type of violation shall be designated as overtime parking. A fine for each violation of this subsection shall be: $10.00 if paid within 30 days $15.00 if paid after 30 days. (c) It shall be a violation of this article for any person to permit a vehicle to park in any parking space which is in violation of any of the following subsections and shall be classified as an improper, restricted or prohibited parking violation. A fine for each violation of this subsection shall be: $15.00 if paid within 30 days $20.00 if paid after 30 days. Improper, restricted or prohibited parking violation shall be as follows: SEC. 273. STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING. SEC. 274. METHOD OF PARKING. SEC. 275. THEATERS, HOTELS AND AUDITORIUMS. SEC. 276. BUS AND TAXI ZONES. SEC. 277. LOADING ZONES. SEC. 281. LOADING AND UNLOADING FROM ALLEY. SEC. 282. PARKING IN ALLEY. SEC. 283. BACKING INTO PARKING SPACE. SEC. 286. PARKING FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES PROHIBITED. SEC. 287.
