ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 33 OF "CODE OF ORDINANCES,
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA" BY REPEALING SECTION 120 THEREOF
IN ITS ENTIRETY AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION
120 OF CHAPTER 33 OF "CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA" RELATING TO NUMBERING OF BUILDINGS ON STREETS AND
SIDEWALKS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
Thdt Section 120 of Chapter 33 of "Code of Ordinances, City of
Waterloo, Iowa" is hereby repealed in its entirety; and that new
Section 120 of Chapter 33 of "Code of Ordinances, City of Waterloo,
Iowa" is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
Each person owning a house, dwelling unit, or building located on
any public or private street or avenue of the City shall be required
to number or cause to be placed over the front entrance, or in some
place in public view, on each and every dwelling house, unit, or building,
or place of business owned by him, or under his control, a number in
accordance with the plan of numbering established in this article.
When a house, dwelling unit, or building is constructed to front on
other than a public street or avenue the City, at its discretion, shall
authorize the naming of a private street for purposes of assigning the
building number.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this S� day of ,
