BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA : Section 1. That the boundaries of Ward 2, Ward 2 Precinct 8, Ward 4, and Ward 4 Precinct 8, as described in Ordinance No. 2597, as amended, adopted on May 15, 1972, be, and they are hereby, extended to embrace the following described contiguous annexed territories within the City of Waterloo, Iowa : WARD 2 AND WARD 2 PRECINCT 8 A part of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 18, Township 88 North, Range 12 West of the 5th P.M. in Black Hawk County, Iowa described as follows : Commencing at the Southwest corner of the SW 1/4 of Section 18-88-12; thence North along the West line of the SW 1/4 of said Section 18 to the Southerly corporate limit of Waterloo, Iowa; thence East along the Southerly corporate limit to the East line of the SW 1/4 of said Sect- ion 18; thence South along the East line of the SW 1/4 of said Section 18 to the South line of the SW 1/4 of said Section 18; thence West along the South line of the SW 1/4 of said Section 18 to the point of beginning; and A part of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 18, Township 88 North, Range 12 West of the 5th P.M. in Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as follows : Commencing at the Southwest corner of the SE 1/4 of Section 18-88-12; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of the SE 1/4 a distance of 65 feet to the point of beginning; thence East parallel to the South line of said SE 1/4 a distance of 700.40 feet; thence N 71°30 ' East a distance of 322.35 feet; thence N 53000 ' East a distance of 60.54 feet to the Westerly line of U.S. Highway No. 218; thence Northwesterly along said Westerly line of U.S. Highway No. 218 to the southerly corporate limit of Waterloo, Iowa; thence Westerly along the Southerly corporate limit to the West line of the SE 1/4 of Section 18-88-12; thence Southerly along the West line of the SE 1/4 of Section 18-88-12 to the point of beginning; The South line of the SE 1/4 of Section 18-88-12 is assumed to bear East-West; and WARD 4 AND WARD 4 PRECINCT 8 Sections Nos. Sixteen (16) and Seventeen in Township Eighty-nine (89) North, Range Twelve (12) West of the Fifth Principal 'Meridan$ Black Hawk County, Iowa, except that part thereof presently within the City limits of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and That part of the East One-Half of the Northeast Quarter (E 1/2 NE 1/4) of Section No. Twenty-one (21) , Township Eighty-nine (89) North, Range Twelve (12) West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Black Hawk County, Iowa, lying North of and adjacent to the right-of-way of the Chicago Great Western Railroad.
