AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2644, KNOWN AS THE TRAFFIC
ORDINANCE, BY REPEALING SECTION 542 ENTITLED "ONE-WAY STREETS
AND ALLEYS", AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTION 542
ENTITLED "ONE-WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS".
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 542 entitled "One-Way Streets and Alleys" is hereby repealed,
and new Section 542 entitled "One-Way Streets and Alleys" is hereby enacted
in lieu thereof.
Section 542 ONE-WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS
Upon those streets and parts of those streets and in those alleys designated
and signposted for one-way traffic, vehicles, except authorized emergency
vehicles responding to an emergency call shall be driven only in the direction
designated as named herein:
STREET OR ALLEY DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Commercial Street Southeast to northwest between West Eleventh Street
and the south side of West Fourth Street; northwest
side of West Fourth Street to Westfield Avenue
2. Fifth Street Northeast to the southwest between Walnut Street and
(East and West) Bayard Street
3. First Street Southwest to the northeast from Locust Street to
(East and West) Franklin Street
4. Jefferson Northwest to the southeast between Westfield Avenue
and West Eleventh Street
5. Lafayette Street Southeast to the northwest between East Eleventh
Street and East Mullan Avenue
6. Longfellow Avenue South to north from L,indale Avenue and depart to
Riverside Drive
7. Memorial Court Traffic may enter Memorial Court from West Fourth
extending between Street but no traffic shall depart from Memorial Court
West Fourth Street onto West Fourth Street

8. Mullan Avenue Northeast to the southwest from its intersection with
