ORDINANCE NO. 2 7 5 2
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PART OF EXCESS STREET RIGHT-
OF-WAY IN 700 BLOCK OF FALLS AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
as follows:
A part of the right of way of Falls Avenue lying adjacent to
the South line of Lots 1, 7, 8 & 9 , in Auditor' s Falls Avenue
and Mullan Avenue Plat, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa, which is described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 1, which point
is the intersection of the North line of Falls Avenue and the
East line of Section 27, Township 89 North, Range 13 West of
the Fifth Principal Meridian, thence Westerly along the South-
erly line of said Lot 1 a distance of 236. 74 feet; thence de-
flecting to the left at an angle of 70 53' 50" and continuing
Westerly along the Southerly line of said Lot 1 a distance of
139.27 feet to a point which is described as being the point
of intersection of the North line of Falls Avenue with a line
which is 375. 5 feet West of and parallel with the East line of
said Section 27; thence continuing Westerly along an extension
of the last described course a distance of 82. 15 feet; thence
deflecting to the left at an angle of 1720 25' 15" along a
straight line Easterly a distance of 81.41 feet to a point
which is 14.5 feet North of the back of the curb of the exist-
ing Falls Avenue paving; thence deflecting to the right at an
angle of 00 20' 15" along a straight line Easterly a distance
of 330. 75 feet to a point which is 14.5 feet North of the back
of the curb of the existing Falls Avenue paving; thence deflect-
ing to the left at an angle of 20 52 ' 30" along a straight line
Easterly a distance of 182. 13 feet to a point which is 14. 5
feet North of the back of the curb of the existing Falls Ave-
nue paving; thence deflecting to the right at an angle of 40 08'
v1` 15" along a straight line a distance of 52 . 83 feet to a point on the
Southerly line of said. Lot 9 which point is 14. 5 feet North of
back of the curb of the existing Falls Avenue paving; thence
deflecting to the left 1740 39' along the Southerly line of
said Lots 9 , 8 & 7 Westerly a distance of 192. 10 feet to the
point of beginning.
Shall be and the same is hereby vacated.
Passed and adopted this day of July, 1975.
