ORDINANCE NO. 2 7 3 5
ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2479, AS AMENDED, BY ADDING
SUB-SECTION NO. 70 TO SECTION 2A-5 OF SAID ORDINANCE, REZON-
ING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
Section 1. That Section 2A-5 of Ordinance No. 2479, as amended,
be further amended by adding after Sub-Section No. 69 of said section, the
following Sub-Section Seventy (70) :
"70 That part of the East 2 of Section 12, Township 88 North , Range
13 West in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk Bounty, Iowa, that is
not now zoned "M-1" Light Industrial District and is within the
area legally described as follows :
Beginning at a point in the center line of Highway No. 218 which
is 1719 . 6 feet Southeasterly of the intersection of the center line
of said highway and the West line of the Northeap Quarter of said
section: Thence Northeasterly at an angle of 90 with the last
described course to a point 30 feet normally distant Southwesterly
from the Southwesterly line of the right of way of the Chicago,
Rock Island and Pacific Railway Company; thence Southeasterly paral-
lel with and 30 feet from said right of way line to the East line
of said section; thence South along the East line of said section
to the Southeast corner of Government Lot No. 4; thence West along
the South line of said Government Lot No. 4 to a point which is
547 . 62 feet East of the East line of the West 2 of the East a of
said section; thence South parallel with the East line of the West
2 of the East ? of said section to the center line of Highway No.
218; thence Northwesterly along the center line of said Highway
No. 218 to the point of beginning; excepting all legal highways ;
also, an easement of R-O-W over, along and across the 30-foot strip
of land adjoining the R-O-W of said Chicago, Rock Island and Paci-
fic Railway Company as granted in the warranty deed filed February
3, 1950 and recorded in Book 107, Page 231 of the land deed records
of Black Hawk County, Iowa,
now zoned on the Zoning Map of Waterloo, Iowa, as "A-1" Agricultural Dis-
trict be and the same is hereby zoned as "M-1" Light Industrial District
as above described.
Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby directed to
file a certified copy of this ordinance with the Recorder of. Black Hawk
County, Iowa.
