That Section 3642 be amended to read that the annexed rate of advertising is the regular legal rate of

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 36-42 , SUBSECTIONS (d) AND (e) ,
QUALIFICATIONS FOR OBTAINING A LICENSE TO DRIVE A TAXI CAB, AND
REPEALING SECTION 36-45 (a) , ISSUANCE OF A LICENSE, AND ENACTING
A NEW SECTION 36-45 (a) .
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 36-42 be amended to read as follows:
(d) Be clean in dress, in person and not addicted to the use of intoxicating
liquors or controlled substances.
(e) Must not drink or deliver intoxicating liquors or consume or distribute
controlled substances, excepting prescription deliveries, while on duty as a
driver.
That Section 36-45 (a) be repealed and the following enacted in lieu thereof:
Section 36-45 (a) Licenses required by this division shall be approved by the
Council. All applications for a license shall first be referred to the Chief
of Police, who shall make a recommendation as to the issuing of a license for
such applicant. If approved by the Council, the license shall be issued by the
Clerk.
