RESOLUTION NO. 2020-278
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO B&B LAWN
CARE, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AT $9.75 PER LOT, FOR
OPTION A LOTS UNDER ONE ACRE AND $9.75 PER ACRE
FOR OPTION B LOTS ONE (1) ACRE OR MORE, AND
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUCNTION WITH MOWING OF
CITY OWNED LOTS GENERALLY ACQUIRED THROUGH
IOWA CODE 657A, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid as follows: $9.75
per lot, for Option A lots under one acre and $9.75 per acre for Option B lots one (1) acre or
more, in conjunction with the mowing contract for city owned lots generally acquired through
Iowa Code 657A, and
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2020-225, after public hearing on April 6, 2020, in conjunction with the mowing
contract for city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B&B Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of $9.75 per lot, for Option
A lots under one acre and $9.75 per acre for Option B lots one (1) acre or more, in conjunction
with the mowing contract for city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, is
hereby accepted.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by B&B Lawn Care,
Inc., in conjunction with the mowing contract for city owned lots generally acquired through
Iowa Code 657A, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of April 2020.
