RESOLUTION NO. 2020-296
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO MUNICIPAL
PIPE TOOL CO., LLC, OF HUDSON, IOWA, FOR THE BASE
BID, ALTERNATIVE NO. 1 AND AL 1'ERNATIVE NO. 2 IN
THE AMOUNT OF $773,116.50, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
FOR THE FY 2020 CIP PIPELINING PHASE IVA PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 1014, AND AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, of Hudson, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $773,116.50, in conjunction with FY 2020 CIP Pipelining Phase IVA Project,
Contract No. 1014, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2020-253, after public hearing on April 13, 2020, in conjunction with the
FY 2020 CIP Pipelining Phase IVA Project, Contract No. 1014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, in the amount of $773,116.50, in
conjunction with the FY 2020 CIP Pipelining Phase IVA Project, Contract No. 1014, is
hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Municipal Pipe Tool
Co., LLC, in conjunction with the FY 2020 CIP Pipelining Phase IVA Project, Contract
No. 1014, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of May 2020.
