Jones, Community Development Director RE: FY2012 CONSOLIDATED PLAN - ONE YEAR ACTION PLAN December 30, 2010 is our deadline for individual agencies to submit their applications for the CDBG and HOME Program funding for FY2012. These funds will be allocated for the period beginning July 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2012. A public information meeting was held in November to kick off the process and we have published numerous citizen input notices in the Courier. The Board will hold a public hearing on January 11, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, to gain citizen input for preparing the City's Consolidated Plan. Then, a Subcommittee of the Community Development Board will review proposals and formulate a recommendation on the use of these funds by early February. We would like the opportunity to discuss any questions you may have concerning the block grant process and eligible activities. May we suggest a work session with the Board and Council on January 10, 2011 for this purpose. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact me at 291- 4429.
