Summary Statement The roof at this location has been leaking for a number of years and needs to be replaced to avoid further damage to the interior of the building. It is further understood that: The contractor shall not be responsible for damage or delay due to strikes, fires, accidents, or others causes beyond his reason- able control. Scope of Work: 1) Remove the existing roofing and properly recycle and/or dispose of as required. 2) Install new '/" Dens Deck Prime cover board mechanically attached to the roof deck using Firestone Fasteners and 3" insulation plates. Fastening rate is recommended at the rate of 1 faster for 2 sq. ft. for proper wind uplift. 3) Install new Firestone 60-mil membrane roofing fully adhered to the insulation cover board using Firestone bonding adhesive at the manufactures required application rate of 1 gal. per 50 sq. it. All membrane and base wall flashings to be fully bonded to the substrate. 4) Properly flash existing roof top penetrations removing unused projections as directed. HVAC to be disconnected as required by others. 5) Fabricate and install new Firestone 24-gauge pre -finished coping metal flashings to properly terminate the new membrane at the parapet walls. 6) Furnish the contractors 15-year warranty on defects in materials and workmanship. For the total sum of $26.850.00 NOTE 1: We do not include the cost associated for furnishing, replacing or repairing any of the following. If required this will be an extra to the contract, Replacement or repair of existing rotten or deteriorated wooden edge blocking, roof insulation or roof decking if discovered during the roof replacement process Repair of any rotten or deteriorated brick, block or masonry wall if discovered.
