Members absent: Hutchens. Also present: Suzy Schares, Ed Stoffer. Moved by Herzog seconded by Heinze that the agenda, be approved. Ayes: Four. Motion carried. Citizen Oral Comments None Financial Report Schares reported that the budget is on par and gave council room renovations update. Chairperson Report Herzog reported that Mediacom is paying more attention to internet business growth and cable is becoming more obsolete. It is good that they are progressive and extreme internet users will be charged more. Report of Mediacom Net New channels have been added. CT Production Coordinator Report Ed Stoffer explained new programs and informed the commission that council meetings are on the website. There is a good diversity of programs. New Business 1. Frequency of meetings — even months starting in February 2014. 2. Scott stated that customers are experiencing glitches on the phone when making a bill payment, it does not reset at night. There is still problem with outages. 3. The commission requested that Schares review the franchise agreement to see if Mediacom personnel are required to attend meetings. Moved by Herzog seconded by Sherbon to adjourn. Ayes: 5:20 p.m. Motion carried. Suzy Schares City Clerk CT Production Coordinator -Ed Stoffer Report for Telecommunications Commission Meeting August 7th, 2014 — 4:30 pm 1. New Public Access Programs: A. Boat Angel Productions: They sent us a variety of programs including a 12 part kids series. B. Creating Cooperative Kids: A show for parents on how to raise cooperative kids. Have been in contact with the producer of the show and he pointed me to the TelVue website to download his programs for the channel and it is working out great. 2. Council Meetings on the Web: httu://www.voutube.com/user/WaterlooCommunitvTV This is the link to the Waterloo Community TV YouTube channel We have 26 subscribers to our channel and over 3,400 views of our videos.
