AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 ENTITLED "ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES"
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, BY REPEALING
SUBSECTION (g) OF SECTION 4-12, AND REPEALING SUBSECTIONS (b) ,
(d) , (g) , and (h) OF SECTION 4-29, CHAPTER 4, AND ENACTING NEW
SUBSECTION (g) OF SECTION 4-12, NEW SUBSECTIONS (b) , (d) , AND
(g) TO SAID SECTION 4-29, CHAPTER 4, IN LIEU THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
Section 1: That Chapter 4 entitled "Alcoholic Beverages" of the Code of
Ordinances, City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby amended by repealing
Subsection (g) of Section 4-12, Chapter 4, and enacting in lieu thereof
new Subsection (g) to Section 4-12, Chapter 4, as follows:
(g) Legal age means eighteen (18) years of age or more.
Section 2: That Chapter 4 entitled "Alcoholic Beverages" of the Code of
Ordinances, City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby amended by repealing
Subsection (b) of Section 4-29, Chapter 4, and enacting new Subsection
(b) to said Section 4-29, Chapter 4, as follows:
(b) Sell or dispense any alcoholic liquor or beer on the premises
covered by the license or permit, or permit the consumption thereof
between the hours of two (2) A.M. and six (6) A.M. on any week day,
and between the hours of two (2) A.M. on Sunday and six (6) A.M. on
the following Monday, however, a holder of a liquor control license
or Class "B" beer permit granted the privilege of selling alcoholic
liquor or beer on Sunday may sell or dispense such liquor or beer
between the hours of noon and ten (10) P.M.•on Sunday.
Section 3: That Chapter 4 entitled "Alcoholic Beverages" of the Code of
Ordinances, City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby amended by repealing
Subsection (d) to Section 4-29, Chapter 4, and enacting in lieu thereof
new Subsection (d) to Section 4-29, Chapter 4, as follows:
(d) Employ any person under the age of eighteen (18) years old in
the sale or serving of alcoholic liquor or beer for consumption on
the premises where sold.
Section 4: That Chapter 4 entitled "Alcoholic Beverages" of the Code of
Ordinances, City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby amended by repealing
Subsections (g) and (h) of Section 4-29, Chapter 4, and enacting in lieu
thereof new Subsection (g) to Section 4-29, Chapter 4, as follows:
(g) No dancing shall be permitted unless the permittee has first
secured a dance hall license under the provisions of the Ordinances
of this City.
