AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AMENDING
AND ADDING TO THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE,: 1973 EDITION"
BY ADDING THERETO THE "UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT
OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS, 1973 EDITION"; REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 2563 OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AND
ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF THE ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
Section 1. That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa;
being marked and designated as "Uniform Code For The Abatement Of
Dangerous Buildings, 1973 Edition, published in 1973 by the Interna-
tional Conference of Building Officials", be and the same is hereby
adopted as the Dangerous Building Code of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
for regulation of buildings or structures which from any cause endanger
the life, limb, health, morals, property, safety or welfare of the
general public or their occupants; and each and all of the regulations,
provisions, penalties, conditions, and terms of such "Uniform Code For
The Abatement Of Dangerous Buildings, 1973 Edition, published in 1973
by the International Conference of Building Officials" on file in the
office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted and made a
part hereof as if fully set out in this Ordinance.
Section 2. That Ordinance No. 2563 of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
entitled "Uniform Building Code, Volume IV, 1970 Edition", and all
other'Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective on and after the first
working day after its publication as required by the laws of this City
and State.
