That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa; being marked and designated as "Uniform Building Code, 1973 Edition, published in 1973 by The International Conference of Building Officials", be and the same is here- by adopted as the Building Code of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment, use, height, area and main- tenance of all buildings and/or structures in the City of Waterloo, Iowa; ;providing for issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; providing penalties for violation of such Code; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions, and terms of such "Uniform Building Code, 1973 Edition, published in 1973 by The International Conference of Building Officials", on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Ordinance. Section 2. The U.B.C. Standards which are referred to in various parts of this Ordinance shall be the Uniform Building Code Standards, 1973 Edition, and are hereby declared to be a part of this Ordinance. Section 3. That Ordinance No. 2553 of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, entitled "Uniform Building Code of 1970, City of Waterloo, Iowa", and all other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published. Section 5.
