That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa; being marked and designated as "Uniform Building Code, 1970 Edition, published in 1970 by the International Conference of Building Officials", be and the same is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the City of waterloo, Iowa, for regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupany, equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings and/or structures in the City of Waterloo, Iowa; providing for issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; providing penalties for violation of such Code; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions, and terms of such "Uniform Building Code, 1970 Edition, published in 1970 by the International Conference of Building Officials", on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Ordinance. Section 2. That Ordinance No. 2422 of the City of Waterloo, Iowa entitled "Uniform Building Code of 1967, City of Waterloo, Iowa", and all other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published. Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective on and after the first working day after its publication as required by the laws of this City and State. Passed and adopted this 1St day of March ,1971.
