F. Y. 2008 CEDAR VALLEY RIVER RENAISSANCE
TRAIL ENHANCEMENT, CONTRACT NO. 743 .

s c WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2008-521, plans, specifications,

o �f(P�m of contract, etc. , for the F. Y . 2008 Cedar Valley River
lenaissance Trail Enhancement, Contract No. 743, in the City of
Rc�aerloo, Iowa, have been approved and adopted by this Council
7p€ker the hearing prescribed by statute.
_ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
N PRAtERLOO, IOWA, that it is deemed advisable and necessary and it
r,g� so ordered on motion by this Council that the said
't#rovements be constructed in accordance with said plans and
specifications .
_ That the work herein ordered is to be paid in monthly
estimates, in cash, on the basis of 90 percent of the work as the
aTe is completed and materials delivered and the work approved,
zcept that before the last month' s payment is made the
c&ntractor may be required to furnish the City Council vouchers
s}��)wing that all subcontractors and workmen and persons
fi nishing materials have been fully paid for such materials and
labor, and that the City may retain the last month' s payment for
a period of 31 days following such completion and approval,
unless satisfied that materials, men and laborers have been paid.
That said work shall be done by contract and shall be
commenced promptly after receipt of "Notice to Proceed" .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of June, 2008 .
