RESOLUTION NO. 2008-616 RESOLUTION APPROVING MINOR SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE "M-2, P" PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE FORMER GREYHOUND PARK SITE CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY TEN ACRES TO ALLOW FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) TO HAVE A TEMPORARY OFFICE AND STAGING AREA FOR MANUFACTURED HOMES . WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a minor Site Plan Amendment to the "M-2, P" Planned Industrial District for property generally located at the former Greyhound park site consisting of approximately ten acres to allow FEMA to have a temporary office and staging area for manufactured homes, legally described as follows : The Northeast 4 of the Southwest 4 and part of the Northwest 4 of the Southeast 4 described as follows : Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Northwest 4 of the Southeast 4; thence East 100' along the Northerly line of the Northwest 4 of the Southeast 4; thence South 1069 . 31' along a line parallel with the Westerly line of the Northwest 4 of the Southeast 4 to the beginning of a curve concave Northeasterly having a radius of 686 . 621 ; thence Southeasterly 259. 10' along said curve to a point on the Southerly line of the Northwest 4 of the Southeast 4, which point is 148 . 31' Easterly from the Southwest corner of the Northwest 4 of the Southeast 4; thence West 148 . 31' ; thence North 1322 . 37' to the point of beginning, all in Section 6 Township 88 Range 13, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Stare of Iowa . WHEREAS, due to the insignificant nature of said minor Site Plan Amendment, the Council did not deem it necessary to hold a public hearing, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said minor Site Plan Amendment should be approved as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the minor Site Plan Amendment to the "M-2, P" Planned Industrial District for property generally located at the former Greyhound park site consisting of approximately ten acres to allow FEMA to have a temporary office and staging area for manufactured homes, be and the same is hereby approved.
