RESOLUTION NO. 2020-318
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO
WOODRUFF CONSTRUCTION LLC, OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $199,890, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FIVE SULLIVAN BROTHERS
CONVENTION CENTER SKYWALK IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction LLC, of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $199,890, in conjunction with the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center Skywalk
Improvements Project, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2020-302, after public hearing on May 4, 2020, in conjunction with the Five
Sullivan Brothers Convention Center Skywalk Improvements Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Woodruff Construction LLC, in the amount of $199,890, in
conjunction with the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center Skywalk Improvements Project,
is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Woodruff
Construction LLC, in conjunction with the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center Skywalk
Improvements Project are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of May 2020.
