RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
MAY 26, 2020 TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY THE CITY
OF WATERLOO TO VACATE, SELL AND CONVEY A
PORTION OF OREGON STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY,
LOCATED BETWEEN WASHINGTON STREET (HIGHWAY
218) AND WILLISTON AVENUE, WEST OF 1628
WASHINGTON STREET (LOWELL ELEMENTARY) TO THE
WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1.00, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet in the Harold E.
Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 26th day of May 2020,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon the request by the City of Waterloo to vacate,
sell and convey a portion of Oregon Street right-of-way, located between Washington Street
(Highway 218) and Williston Avenue, west of 1628 Washington Street (Lowell Elementary) to
the Waterloo Community School District, in the amount of $1.00.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11`h day of May 2020.
