ADJOURNMENT Suzy Schares City Clerk ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER DEPARTMENT • MAYOR'S OFFICE SALARY $65,000-$75,000 per year DOE FLSA EXEMPT CIVIL SERVICE • EXCLUDED BARGAINING UNIT NON-BARGAINING GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Professional, department head position under the general direction of the Mayor, responsible for plans and administrative tasks related to all Federal and State environmental regulations as they impact the City of Waterloo, including wastewater, solid waste (garbage, yard waste, recycling) and any other environmental issues; assists with environmental regulations in regards to storm water; develops and implements the Capacity Management, Operation & Maintenance (CMOM) Program for the City of Waterloo sanitary and storm sewer systems; exercises direct authority over the sanitary and assists with the storm water National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits with Iowa Department of Natural Resources and analyzes and evaluates conditions of both permits and ensures compliance in a timely fashion.
