RESOLUTION NO. 2008-961
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, SUPPORTING CARDINAL
CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, INC. ' S APPLICATION FOR
LOW INCOME HOUSING TAX CREDIT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa has been informed by
Cardinal Capital Management, Inc. that a low income housing tax
credit application (will or has been) filed with the Iowa
Finance Authority for the rehabilitation of affordable rental
housing at Liberty Manor located at 1119 Kent Circle, Waterloo,
Iowa with a legal description as follows :
That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter of Section No. 33, Township No . 89 North,
Range 13 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, bounded as
follows:
Commencing at a point which is 202 . 087 feet North of a
point on the South line of said Southeast Quarter;
Thence North parallel with the West line of the
Southeast Quarter of said Southeast Quarter a distance
of 236. 60 feet;
Thence North 63 degrees, 22 minutes, 15 seconds East
248 . 10 feet;
Thence North 0 degrees, 0 minutes West a distance of
20 feet to the intersection of the Westerly line of
Ridgeview Court and the Southerly line of Kent Circle
in Ridgeview addition, Waterloo, Iowa;
Thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said Kent
Circle to the most Westerly corner of Lot No. 7 in
said Addition;
Thence South 25 degrees, 35 minutes, 14 seconds East
along a Southwesterly line of said Lot No. 7 a
distance of 76. 93 feet to a Westerly corner of said
Lot No. 7 ;
Thence South parallel with the East line of said
Section to a line that is 202 . 087 feet North of and
parallel with the South line of said Section;
Thence West parallel with the South line of said
Section a distance 431 . 1 feet to the point of
beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa .
WHEREAS, this housing project will contain 57 units, and
WHEREAS, the units will be targeted to affordable assisted
living for elderly seniors, and
WHEREAS, the project will be a rehabilitation, and

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T

CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that we support and approve the
H �j� 'Llitation of the aforesaid housing in our community,

s s�b�ject to city ordinances and the building permit process .
s 'Tb resolution is effective until December 31, 2008 . In the
ea that any of the characteristics mentioned above should
4 e prior to the issuance of a building permit, this
