Effective January 26, 1987, Records Clerk, Cathy Westendorf, will be promoted to a Secretary II position and will transfer to the Clerk/Auditor's Office. DATE: January 9, 1987 In April of 1986 the Human Rights Investigators requested that the City petition the Public Employment Relations Board to remove their job cYassification from coverage by the Teamster's Bargaining Unit. The employees contended that their jobs were of a professional nature and should not have been included within the Teamster' s Contract. After meeting with the Teamster' s Bargaining Representative and the City Attorney' s Office a petition was submitted, by the City, requesting clarification of the following questions: ( 1 ) Should the Human Rights Investigators be classified as professional employees, and (2) If they were professional employees, could they still be represented by the Teamsters. In November of 1986, prior to a hearing on these questions, the Teamsters relinquished coverage of the Investigator' s classification. Consequently, the salary for this classification is no longer delineated within a union contract.
