Background Information: The City of Waterloo always evaluates the potential of
disposing of unnecessary right-of-way portions to get new property on the tax rolls,
as well as for proper management of city-owned property. The proposed project
would appear to better utilize excess right-of-way along San Marnan for new
residential growth within the community. The Development Agreement will work to
ensure the new roadway is in place from the vacated portion to allow for continued
use of this route for future travelers, while creating over 20 new residential lots within
the community.

Subject: SanMarnan Drive housing proposal
I encourage you to vote no on the current proposal for the construction of new homes along SanMarnan, next
to the golf course. If this is something that needs to be done, then the alternative road should be constructed
before the SanMarNan work. If this proceeds, the traffic should not be impeded by a slower speed limit that
will discourage neighbors to use SanMarnan. Many of our customers use this access to come to our Culvers
Restaurant. We as well, don't want to use a road with a slower speed limit when traveling east.
