RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JUNE 8, 2020 TO AMEND THE 2019-2023 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND
REVISE THE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN FOR THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, TO ENABLE THE CITY TO
RECEIVE AND ADMINISTER COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING FROM THE U.S
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE CORONAVIRUS AID,
RELIEF, AND ECONOMIC SECURITY ACT, AND INSTRUCT
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall meet in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 8th day of June
2020, for the purpose of considering and acting upon amending the 2019-2023 Community
Development Five -Year Consolidated Plan and revise the Citizen Participation Plan for the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, to enable the city to receive and administer Community Development Block
Grant funding from the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development, made available
through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and
place of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of May 2020.
