RESOLUTION NO. 2020-366
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY MUNICIPAL PIPE TOOL CO.,
LLC, OF HUDSON, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $353,940.40
AND APPROVING RELEASE OF RETAINER IN THE
AMOUNT OF $17,697.02, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY
2019 CIP PIPELINING PHASE IIIC, CONTRACT NO. 962, AND
RECEIVE AND FILE TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, of, Hudson, Iowa, performed work in
conjunction with the FY 2019 CIP Pipelining Phase IIIC, Contract No. 962, and
WHEREAS, Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC has completed the aforementioned project in
accordance with the project plans and specifications, at a total cost of $353,940.40.
WHERAS, a retainer in the amount of $17,697.02 is being held, in conjunction with the
FY 2019 CIP Pipelining Phase IIIC, Contract No. 962.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Municipal Pipe Tool Co., LLC, at a total cost of $353,940.40, and
release of retainage, in the amount of $17,697.02, in conjunction with the FY 2019 CIP
Pipelining Phase IIIC, Contract No. 962, are hereby approved, and a two-year maintenance bond
is hereby received and placed on file.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of May 2020.
