RESOLUTION NO. 2020-382
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND ACCEPTANCE OF WORK FOR WORK PERFORMED
BY LODGE CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF CLARKSVILLE,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $596,137.65, AND RELEASE OF
RETAINAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,540.07, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2017 CIP PIPELINING PHASE
IIIB, CONTRACT NO. 949, AND RECEIVE AND FILE A TWO-
YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., of Clarksville, Iowa, performed work in
conjunction with the FY 2017 CIP Pipelining Phase MB, Contract No. 949, and
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., has completed the aforementioned project in
accordance with the project plans and specifications, at a total cost of $596,137.65.
WHEREAS, retainage, in the amount of $26,540.07, is being held in conjunction with the
FY 2017 CIP Pipelining Phase IIIB, Contract No. 949.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Lodge Construction, Inc., at a total cost of $596,137.65, and
release of retainage, in the amount of $26,540.07, in conjunction with the FY 2017 CIP
Pipelining Phase IIIB, Contract No. 949, are hereby approved, and a two-year maintenance bond
is hereby received and placed on file.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of June 2020.
