RESOLUTION NO. 2020-385
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND RECOMMENDATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
FOR WORK PERFORMED BY AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS CO.,
OF AMES, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $696,010, AND
APPROVING RELEASE OF RETAINAGE IN THE AMOUNT
OF $34,800.50, IN CONJUNCTION WITH FY 2016 WATER
POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITIES UPGRADE TO
INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SYSTEMS,
CONTRACT NO. 929, AND RECEIVE AND FILE TWO-YEAR
MAINTENANCE BOND.
WHEREAS, Automatic Systems Co., of Ames, Iowa, performed work in conjunction
with the FY 2016 Water Pollution Control Facilities Upgrade to Instrumentation and Control
Systems, Contract No. 929, and
WHEREAS, Automatic Systems Co. has completed the aforementioned project in
accordance with the project plans and specifications, at a total cost of $696,010.
WHEREAS, retainage, in the amount of $34,800.50, is being held in conjunction with the
FY 2016 Water Pollution Control Facilities Upgrade to Instrumentation and Control Systems,
Contract No. 929.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Automatic Systems Co., at a total cost of $696,010, and release of
retainage, in the amount of $34,800.50, in conjunction with the FY 2016 Water Pollution Control
Facilities Upgrade to Instrumentation and Control Systems, Contract No. 929, are hereby
approved, and a two-year maintenance bond is hereby received and placed on file.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of June 2020.
