RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo,Iowa,at
her office in the City Half of the said City
on the 11th day of June,2020,until 1:00
p.m.for the reconstruction of Reconstruct
Taxiway B South of Runway 18/36;
Reconstruct West Terminal Apron and
Clean/Reseal Joints East Terminal Apron;
and Remove Trees - FAA AIP
3-19-0094-0046 and 0047-2020, as de-
scribed in detail in the plans and
specifications now on fife in the Office of
the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the First Floor Conference Room at City
Hall,in the City of Waterloo.Iowa,on the
17th day of June,2020,at 1:00 p.m.,and
the proposals will be acted upon at such
later lime and place as may then be fixed.
PRE-BID MEETING
A pre-bid meeting for this project will be
held electronically on June 3, 2020, at
2:00 p.m.Potential bidders should contact
David Hughes, Project Manager, at
David.hughes@aecom.com for access to
this virtual meeting.
PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Waterloo will continue to hold
City Council meetings as scheduled,
however in response to COVID-19,
elected officials and city staff will
participate via videoconferencing with
elected officials and city staff dialing in to
the meeting to participate.
The public is invited to speak on public
hearingitems in the following ways.Call
the City Clerk's Office at 319-291-4323 by
4:45 p.m. to obtain conference call
information.Alternatively,you me email

ia.org and they will be read during the
public hearing. Please state the public
hearing item on which you wish to speak.
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, specifications, form
of contract,and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above-described im-
provement project at 5:30 p.m. on the
15th day of June,2020,said hearing to
be held in the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared by
AECOM are now on file in the office of the
City Clerk for public examination,and any
person interested therein may file written
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto with
the City Clerk before the date set for said
hearing, or appear and make objection
thereto at the meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The work to be performed in this project
shall include the following described
improvements at the Waterloo Regional
Airport,Waterloo,Iowa:
'FAA AIP 3-19-00940046-2020 Recon-
struct West Terminal Apron and Clean
/Reseal Joints East Terminal Apron
consists of reconstruction of West Termi-
nal Apron, including removal of the
existing bituminous apron pavement
ranging in thickness from ten (10) to
twelve and one-half (12 1/2) inches in
thickness; removal and replacement of
the existing base and subbase materials;
installation of cement treated permeable
base course;installation of approximate[

3,400 square yards of 12 S4-inch thick
Portland Cement Concrete Pavement;
reconstruction and installation of three(3)
storm sewer structures; and Add Alter-
nate Bid Option for joint Geaning(sealing.

struction of Taxiway B South of Runway
16/36 with 13-inch Portland Cement
Concrete Pavement; removal and re-
placement of Taxiway B Medium Intensity
Edge Lights, wiring and conduit, and
replacement with new LED Medium
Intensity Taxiway Edge Lights, new
conduit and wiring, and LED Guidance
Signage; removal of existing subdrain
system and installation of new system;
pavement marking for Taxiway 13;recon-
struction of Taxiway C south of Runway
12130;and clearing and grubbing of trees
