RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF CITY OF
WATERLOO ON BEHALF OF CHASE AUTO TO REZONE
FROM "A-1" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO "M-1"
LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT APPROXIMATELY 1 . 81
ACRES GENERALLY LOCATED ON PORTIONS OF
PROPERTY AT 1041-1117 SHEFFIELD AVENUE ALONG
THE FORMER MILL RACE BETWEEN MITCHELL AVENUE
AND EASTON AVENUE, AS AUGUST 6, 2007, AT 5 : 30
P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL AND
INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF
HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 6th day of August, 2007, for
the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of the
City of Waterloo on behalf of Chase Auto to rezone from "A-1"
Agricultural District to "M-1" Light Industrial District
approximately 1 . 81 acres generally located on portions of
property at 1041-1117 Sheffield Avenue along the former Mill Race
between Mitchell Avenue and Easton Avenue and legally described
as follows :
That part of the Mill Race as platted in Riverview
Addition in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that is
contained within the following described parcel:
Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Lot 10, Block
112, Riverview Addition in the City of Waterloo, Iowa;
thence North 69011156" East along the Northeasterly
extension of the Northwesterly line of said Lot 10, a
distance of 10 . 11 feet to the Northeasterly line of a
10 foot wide alley; thence North 12030101" West along
