RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
PHASE I DEMOLITION OF THE FORMER CHAMBERLAIN

CONTRACT NO. 741 .

WHEREAS, by Resolution No . 2007-1017, plans, specifications,
e for the Phase I Demolition of the Former Chamberlain
Mtnti-facturing Property, 550 Esther Street, Contract No . 741, in
tkj�City of Waterloo, Iowa, have been approved and adopted by
trri� Council after the hearing prescribed by statute .

r. r_ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WTRLOO, IOWA, that it is deemed advisable and necessary and it
is so ordered on motion by this Council that the said

impmovements be constructed in accordance with said plans and
sge�ifications .
VThat the work herein ordered is to be paid in monthly
egt�ates, in cash, on the basis of 90 percent of the work as the
same is completed and materials delivered and the work approved,
ept that before the last month' s payment is made the
cantractor may be required to furnish the City Council vouchers
slamming that all subcontractors and workmen and persons
furbishing materials have been fully paid for such materials and
labor, and that the City may retain the last month' s payment for
a period of 31 days following such completion and approval,
unless satisfied that materials, men and laborers have been paid.
That said work shall be done by contract and shall be
commenced promptly after receipt of "Notice to Proceed" .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of December, 2007 .
