RESOLUTION NO. 2020-435
RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPLETION OF PROJECT
AND ACCEPTANCE OF WORK FOR WORK PERFORMED
BY LODGE CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF CLARKSVILLE,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $596,137.65 AND RELEASE OF
RETAINAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,540.07, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2018 REMEDIAL ACTIONS
PHASE IIIB PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 949, RECEIVE AND
FILE A TWO-YEAR MAINTENANCE BOND, AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2020-382.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., of Clarksville, Iowa, performed work in
conjunction with the 2018 Remedial Actions Phase IIIB Project, Contract No. 949, and
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc. has completed the aforementioned project in
accordance with the project plans and specifications, at a total cost of $596,137.65.
WHEREAS, retainage, in the amount of $26,540.07, is being held in conjunction with the
2018 Remedial Actions Phase IIIB Project, Contract No. 949.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Certificate of Completion and Recommendation of Acceptance of
Work, for work performed by Lodge Construction, Inc., at a total cost of $596,137.65, and
release of retainage, in the amount of $26,540.07, in conjunction with the 2018 Remedial Actions
Phase IIIB Project, Contract No. 949, are hereby approved, and a two-year maintenance bond is
hereby received and placed on file.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Resolution. 2020-382 is hereby rescinded in its
entirety.
