RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM NEW HOPE MISSIONARY
BAPTIST CHURCH ON SUNDAY, JUNE 21, 2020 FROM 9:30
A.M. TO 12:30 P.M. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NEW
HOPE RELAUNCH (RETURNING TO WORSHIP) LOCATED
AT 710 BROADWAY STREET, INCLUDING MUSIC,
SINGING, PREACHING AND PRAYING AND THE USE OF A
P.A. SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, New Hope Missionary Baptist Church is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on June 21, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in conjunction with the New Hope
Relaunch (Returning to Worship) located at 710 Broadway Street, including music, singing,
preaching and praying and the use of a P.A. System, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, for a variance to
the Noise Ordinance, on June 21, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in conjunction with the New
Hope Relaunch (Returning to Worship) located at 710 Broadway Street, including music,
singing, preaching and praying and the use of a P.A. System, be granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June 2020.
